By accessing, browsing, submitting information to, or using Skudai.my, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please discontinue your use of the platform.

Skudai.my is owned and operated by DIY Business System (JM0992313-K).

2. Nature and Purpose of Skudai.my

Skudai.my operates as a local information, business listing, promotional, and community platform serving Skudai and surrounding areas.

The platform may provide or feature:

  • Local Updates and News
  • Deals & Offers
  • Events
  • Community Information
  • Photo Gallery and Local Life content
  • Places, Food, Services, and Attractions
  • Business and community promotional content
  • Other information relevant to the Skudai community

Skudai.my provides a platform for local businesses, organisations, community groups, and individuals to share relevant information with the community.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Skudai.my:

  • Does not sell products or services on behalf of listed businesses
  • Does not act as an agent, broker, representative, or partner of listed businesses
  • Does not process or guarantee transactions between users and listed businesses
  • Does not guarantee the availability, quality, price, performance, or suitability of any business, product, service, offer, or event
  • Does not guarantee any particular level of enquiries, leads, traffic, sales, or business results

Any transaction or arrangement between a visitor and a listed business is made directly between those parties.

3. Business Listings

Businesses may submit information to be published on Skudai.my through the Business Listing application process.

A Business Listing may include information such as:

  • Business name
  • Business description
  • Business category
  • Address or service area
  • Contact information
  • Website and social media links
  • Opening hours
  • Photos, logos, videos, and other media
  • Products or services
  • Promotions and offers
  • Other information relevant to the business

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee publication.

Skudai.my reserves the right to review, approve, edit, reject, publish, modify, suspend, or remove any listing at its discretion.

4. Pioneer Business Listing

Skudai.my may introduce special launch or promotional programmes, including Pioneer Business Listings.

Where a Pioneer Business Listing is offered free of charge or at a promotional rate, the offer is subject to the applicable conditions stated by Skudai.my at the time of application.

Skudai.my reserves the right to:

  • Determine eligibility for Pioneer status
  • Limit the number of Pioneer Listings
  • Close or modify the Pioneer offer
  • Change the terms of future listing programmes

A Pioneer Listing does not guarantee any particular search ranking, visibility, traffic, enquiries, leads, or business results.

5. Responsibilities of Business Owners and Listing Providers

By submitting a Business Listing, the business owner or authorised representative confirms that:

  • The information provided is accurate and reasonably up to date
  • They have the authority to submit the information on behalf of the business
  • The business information is not intentionally misleading or fraudulent
  • The submitted content does not knowingly infringe the rights of any third party
  • They are responsible for updating Skudai.my when important listing information changes
  • They will comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Malaysia

Business owners remain responsible for their own business operations, products, services, customers, employees, licences, permits, pricing, and legal obligations.

6. Accuracy and Verification of Information

Skudai.my aims to provide useful and relevant local information. However, information on the platform may change from time to time.

Business owners are responsible for checking their published listing and notifying Skudai.my of any errors or changes.

Visitors are encouraged to verify important information directly with the relevant business before making decisions, including:

  • Prices
  • Opening hours
  • Availability
  • Promotions
  • Products and services
  • Contact information
  • Event details
  • Business operating status

Skudai.my does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, or error-free.

7. Content Submission and Publishing Rights

By submitting text, photographs, logos, videos, descriptions, promotional materials, or other content to Skudai.my, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to provide such content.

You grant Skudai.my permission to use, reproduce, format, edit, publish, display, and distribute the submitted content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and developing Skudai.my and its related platform activities.

This permission may include displaying the content on:

  • Skudai.my
  • Skudai.my social media channels
  • Promotional materials
  • Digital marketing channels
  • Search engine results
  • Other channels operated or authorised by Skudai.my

Skudai.my may make reasonable formatting, editing, resizing, cropping, or other presentation changes to submitted content.

Business owners and contributors are responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

If you believe that content published on Skudai.my infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, please contact us with relevant details.

Where appropriate, Skudai.my may review the matter and take reasonable action, including editing or removing the relevant content.

15. Disclaimer

Skudai.my provides information and listings on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Skudai.my and DIY Business System do not guarantee that:

  • The platform will always be available or uninterrupted
  • All information will be complete or error-free
  • All listings will remain current
  • Businesses will provide the advertised products or services
  • Promotions or offers will remain available
  • Events will take place as originally announced
  • Users will achieve any particular business or personal outcome through the platform

Users should exercise their own judgement and verify important information before relying on it.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Skudai.my and DIY Business System (JM0992313-K) shall not be liable for losses, claims, damages, costs, or inconvenience arising from or relating to:

17. Listing Suspension, Removal and Termination

Skudai.my may suspend, modify, or remove a Business Listing or other platform content where we consider it necessary, including where:

  • The information is inaccurate or misleading
  • The listing violates these Terms & Conditions
  • The business or content creates a legal or security concern
  • The submitted content infringes third-party rights
  • The listing is inactive or no longer relevant
  • The platform requires operational or technical changes

Where reasonably practicable, Skudai.my may contact the relevant business regarding significant listing issues.

18. Fees, Promotional Offers and Refunds

Some Skudai.my listings, promotional placements, advertising opportunities, or services may be offered free of charge, while others may be subject to fees.

Where a paid service is introduced, the applicable price, payment terms, promotional conditions, and refund policy will be communicated to the customer before payment.

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, fees paid for promotional or listing services are non-refundable once the relevant service has commenced or been delivered.

Skudai.my reserves the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue pricing and promotional programmes.

19. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

Skudai.my may update or modify these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on Skudai.my together with the applicable Last Updated date.

Your continued use of Skudai.my after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

Any matters arising from the use of Skudai.my shall be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction of Malaysia.
